Lager 157 to Open New Flagship Store on Drottninggatan in Stockholm - The Largest Store Yet
Lager 157 continues its growth journey and strengthens its presence in the capital. In October 2025, the brand will open a new flagship store at Drottninggatan 53 – a 3,300-square-meter location in one of Stockholm’s most central and highly frequented retail areas.
“We’ve been present on Drottninggatan since 2018, and it’s a natural place for us to be. It’s a vibrant shopping street with visitors from all over the world. Now we have the opportunity to truly scale up — the new store has a street-level entrance and is more than three times the size of our current store on the street. This is a natural next step for us,” says Stefan Palm, founder and CEO of Lager 157.
Since its inception, Lager 157 has challenged the traditional fashion retail market with a clear focus on affordable wardrobe essentials and a strong combination of physical stores and digital channels. The new store at Drottninggatan 53 will not only be a full-scale city store — it’s also the first time Lager 157 can showcase its entire concept in full scale in the city center.
The store will feature six departments: womenswear, a large denim department, activewear, menswear, kids, and accessories. With its size, central location, and accessibility, the store marks an important step in the evolution of Lager 157’s store format and customer experience. It will serve as a new benchmark for future expansions and concept testing.
The opening comes at a time when Lager 157 is experiencing strong growth, both in Sweden and internationally. In 2024, the company increased its revenue by 28 percent to SEK 3.5 billion, and in 2025 it plans to open more than 20 new stores. Today, Lager 157 has over 90 stores across Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Germany.
The company’s growth is driven by a clear strategy focused on a core range of basics, industrial logic, and an efficient supply chain — rather than fast-changing trends.
